UNESCO hosts French Premiere of Mandela: Long Walk To Freedom

Pictured at UNThe international roll-out of Mandela: Long Walk To Freedom continued last night with the French premiere of the film at the Paris headquarters of UNESCO, ahead of its opening in France on 18 December. Producer Anant Singh, director Justin Chadwick and actors Idris Elba, Naomie Harris and Lindiwe Matshikiza presented the film. Mandela: Long Walk To Freedom had its first international screening at the Toronto International Film Festival on Saturday, 7 September 2013. The stars of the film Idris Elba, Naomie Harris, Riaad Moosa, Terry Pheto, Deon Lotz and Lindiwe Matshikiza surprised throngs of fans when they stopped to pose for pictures with them before taking to the red carpet. The screening ended on a high note with an unprecedented eight minute standing ovation from a visibly moved audience.
